Monica Campbell, MFT

Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist

Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here.

You’re probably reading this right now because you’re looking for someone who knows what you’re going through. You might be feeling overwhelmed by parenting a teen or feeling sad or scared by how difficult this relationship has become. Or, maybe it seems like raising teenagers is easy for everyone else, but not for you. Family life, and needs, can make it seem like there’s no time to prioritize the emotional work of parenting.

Well, you’re in good company! I’m parenting teenagers right alongside you, and as a caring and committed mother I’m all too familiar with how hard it can be to ask for parenting support when feeling disconnected or scared about my kids. I can reassure you, you’re not crazy or alone, and your experience makes perfect sense.

No matter what your parenting style, being a parent with teens isn’t easy. The pressures on you to navigate a teen’s transition into adulthood can cause anxiety, sleepless nights, and arguments. Imagine waking up rested in the morning feeling comfortable and close to your child. Managing all the demands of your day and still having the time and energy to laugh or problem solve with your family when you get home at night. My positive, experienced, and encouraging style helps the parents I work with learn to make and keep important boundaries with empathy, and the teens I work with to mature naturally and competently while living with anxiety, depression, or a history of trauma.

Melinda Artz, LCSW

Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist

People find people they trust to share their deepest concerns. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, working clients of all ages to develop ways to reshape personal behavior and better deal with difficult situations.

My journey in the helping profession began as a therapist in dreambody process work in Montana, and along the way I have worked as a substitute teacher in public and private schools, a guardian for Native American children in the tribal system, in a rural Nevada hospice, and as a counselor and intern supervisor in community mental health. I returned to school at age sixty to earn a Master’s degree in social work from the University of Nevada Reno because I wanted people in my community to be supported by the therapy that has helped me so much — EMDR and Process-oriented psychotherapy. I believe trauma can be our greatest and most natural teacher when we are companioned by a skilled and compassionate counselor. Together we can find compassion for self and others, shift from fear to faith, from frozen to freedom.
